I'm writing up my own guide for this mod as I don't feel the installation instructions cover it well enough.
Firstly this mod does not go into your mod folder like other kcd mods. Rather it goes into the data folder of your kcd directory.
Unpack the mod and copy the user.cfg and NoMoSloMo.pak file into the data folder of your kcd directory. The user.cfg file is used to edit the slow motion effect. The default option is 3 which speeds up the effect, 2 will disable the effect completely. Open the cfg file with notepad and simply change the number to what you want.
In the same data folder you'll find a pre existing file pak.cfg. open this with notepad and add the line data\NoMoSloMo.pak to the bottom. The last few lines should look like this when you're done:
Lastly if youre using steam go to your library, right click kingdom come deliverance and click properties. You'll see a blank text box on this screen under launch options, type
for me its the opposite lol, for me the no master strike worked like this: you need to download the no slo mo option, open the file in mods and you will see 3 files (lessaimasterstrike, noslomosound and noaimasterstrike) then i picked one of those 3 files (you can pick 2 if you want) and then you put the file in the mod folder, after that you put the file name in the mod order like any other mod.
You could also just cut the lines required outta the .cfg and add them to your existing .cfg rather than replacing the entire file and potentially messing up other mods right? I'm stupid, modding some games is so hard... Took me like a week to work out how to use dual sheath redux on skyrim lol. Honestly I've never had to do mroe than add the mods to vortex and then install them and they always worked except restoredHCcompass and i've always felt the slow motion was still there but master strikes and the slowmo sound have always been gone.. other mods i use like infinite repair kit or instant herb had always worked after downloading to vortex and installing. I've never had to open a config and do all this complicated s#*! before and i've always noticed the mods working, even like perk change ones and all sorts, its only ever bee HCcompass and slowmotion that have never worked 100% correctly, and now i know wWHY hahahaha cos im dumb and didnt read
Thank you for this! Wanted to play the game again before KCD2 (Henry's coming back to see us again!?) and I see you've clearly helped a lot of people so I'll sticky this so future players can keep finding it!
Folks, author lowered the chance of enemy master strike to 25%.
You can easily open file and change it to your heart content. For e.g, set it to 2% just as i did. Works goooooodly! Now It's actually fair that enemy has a veeeery low chance to do so. I recommend to use [Exclusive Master Strikes - Make Them Reasonable] to ensure that you also disabled TACKLE attack from enemy.
This mod alone has improved combat in this game so much to the point I don't know why its not how the game is setup by default.
The slowmo gets so tedious and annoying, and the frequency of the master strikes made no sense. Why do random bandits living in the woods know how to do repeated complex parries on a highly trained swordsman. And why does that highly trained swordsman have no counter to any of them. Was driving me insane.
I can actually consistently pull off combos now and don't feel like I'm just constantly getting countered over and over by everyone anymore.
For the 'less master strikes' optional, how much is 'less'? I'm debating between that and 'noAI master strikes'
Also, do I need the main mod to use the optionals? Cos honestly I don't care about the slow-mo and could just do with enemies not constantly master-striking me whenever I try to hit them.
i did the line and everything yet the console command didnt recognize it.does somehow this cant be used with cheat mod or something???even after edit the pak file its still not working

Don't forget to save this file.

The mod should work for you now. I hope.

Options doesn't seem to need the main mod.
