Sounds like a great addition, is it safe to use alongside "The Notice Board" ? I feel like it should be but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Yes, it's completely fine using this mod alongside ''The Notice Board.''

The only problem with this mod is that it doesn't necessarily go far enough. There are all kinds of quests in the game that could use larger rewards. Some other mods cover some of these though.

thats an issue I have with a lot of mods in general is once you download it and it improves one part of the game, all the other crappy parts of the game stick out like sore thumbs. But the bounties are just laughable and need to fixed. 100 gold to kill a giant? Is that a joke?

Thankyou - works exactly as advertised :)

Not sure if you're already aware, but this mod causes incompatibilities with any mods which also attempt to make use of the vanilla bounty quest system. The one I noticed this with was Beyond Reach. That's because other mods using the BQScript aren't aware of the extra parameter you've added so those bounty quests don't provide a reward.

My workaround for that was to rename your script to "bawBQScript" and to amend the bounty quests altered by your mod to use the renamed script. That leaves the vanilla script unchanged for other mods to use.

I was not aware of any mod reusing the BQScript. Thanks for letting me know. I uploaded a new version that makes the same change as you have.

Please don't take this as any form of criticism because I really like the idea, in fact I've looked at a couple of your mods and they all seem to come from sensible, simple, logical ideas (the "why wasn't this always a thing" thinking) or targeted specific additions or customisations, with super lightweight implementations ... all in all a good thing, nay a great thing...

    um, however...

When I thought about this for a few moments it occurred to me it equates to being paid more for the same 'work' when you're a higher level. Surely killing a Bandit Leader is (essentially) the same regardless of your level ... respectively harder at higher levels (with regards to low levels) but perceptibly not because your character is stronger. Arguably you should be paid more at a lower level because comparatively across the scale it's more risky to take on these jobs with a low level, but you need the money so makes it worthwhile if it pays off ... versus higher level characters who have already amassed so much gold they barely need the reward (assuming no economy mods etc.)

Another thing I just thought of is that a low level character is basically a 'nobody' with little fame or recognition and is yet to make a name for themselves (ahem "Dragonborn" ... "Sorry, what?"), so they need money to progress their 'life' and therefore need to take on paying jobs to increase their wealth and ultimately their status
... a higher level character on the other hand already has a degree of fame and fortune, and arguably has a reputation to maintain as well as an obligation to help maintain order and/or support their faction (i.e. has motivations beyond money to 'get the job done' as it were)

I know it's contrary and somewhat counter-intuitive but to me it makes more sense from a role-play point of view, admittedly assuming a fairly 'vanilla' game-world. Anyway, just food for thought ... merely an opinion. Either way congrats on the mod(s) and I hope you're enjoying it, keep up the good work!

P.S. I'm not saying that paying lower levels more and higher levels less makes any sense either ... it doesn't x'D
-- Thinking about it .. I guess the higher level has earned the higher reward because of their reputation?!

Forgive me ... posting anyway for S-a-G (aka 'funsies')

I get what you are saying. Look at it this way. From the perspective of the questgivers the threats become greater and that justifies greater rewards. I'm also expecting that this mod is combined with other mods that make Skyrim more challenging.

I personally like to think of it like this: Stronger/more skilled bounty hunters can demand better payment. Quest-givers might not want to invest so much in somebody who would probably die on the bandits' doorstep, but that professional over there? He is someone worth putting their money on--and they would not want to waste his time!

A brand new lawyer gets paid less than a partner in a law firm, even if they're essentially doing the same work. Same thing with a doctor or any other profession. If you want someone more skilled and experienced to work on your problem, then you have to pay for it. Doesn't have anything to do with need...a 20 year old Walmart employee with cancer probably needs more money than a healthy 40 year old A-List actor...but we all know who's actually going to be getting more money. This is the way the world works.

I've done a few bounties and it doesn't seem to work.. I still get 100 gold, no idea why. Using skyrim vr but it's basically sse so it shouldn't be the cause. Any ideas what might make the mod not to work?

First, make sure that you do not have another mod that changes the bounty quests. If that is not the case then the problem appears to solve itself eventually, according to PurityGex778's comments below.

All I have that is related to them is Bounty preview, I'll remove it and play. Hopefully it'll fix itself, thanks :).
